Privacy Policy

Effective date: July 18, 2026

This policy explains what personal data YourPlaceholder ("we", "us") collects when you use the platform, its APIs, or the YourPlaceholder WordPress plugin, and what we do with it.

2. What we do NOT do

3. Cookies

We use strictly necessary cookies only: a session cookie for login and a CSRF token. No analytics or advertising cookies.

4. Processors and recipients

5. The WordPress plugin

The plugin communicates with our API using your API key to fetch your configured data and your account's plan status. It stores your API credentials in your own WordPress database and does not send us data about your site's visitors.

6. Marketing email

We may send occasional onboarding and product emails. Every marketing email contains a one-click unsubscribe link; transactional emails (limits, failures, billing) are sent regardless because the Service needs them.

7. Retention

Account data is kept while your account exists. Execution logs are kept for plan enforcement and analytics and are pruned on a rolling basis. When you delete your account, personal data is deleted or anonymized within 30 days, except records we must keep for tax/accounting law.

8. Your rights (GDPR)

You can access, correct, export, or delete your personal data, object to or restrict processing, and lodge a complaint with your supervisory authority. Most of it you can do directly in your account settings; for anything else, email us.

9. Security

Passwords are hashed, API keys are revocable, traffic is encrypted in transit (TLS), and access to production data is restricted. No system is perfectly secure; we will notify affected users of a breach as the law requires.

10. Children

The Service is not directed at children under 16 and we do not knowingly collect their data.

11. Changes

We may update this policy; material changes will be announced by email or in-app. The current version always lives at this URL.
